THE BEST JUNIOR PLAYERS
IN THE WORLD ARRIVE AT EDDIE HERR

Players from across the
globe arrived at IMG Bollettierri Tennis Academy on
Sunday, November 28 to register for the main draw of the
2010 Eddie Herr International tennis championships.
Representing the best of international junior tennis,
boys and girls from 97 nations registered to compete for
the prestigious Eddie Herr singles 14s, 16s, and 18s
crowns.
More than 2,200 hopefuls entered this year’s tournament,
which also included a qualifying tournament in each
division.
Main draw action in the B12s and G12s began on Saturday,
November 27. The main draw for B14s, B16s, B18s, G14s,
G16s, and G18s starts November 29.
Spectators are welcome at the Eddie Herr International,
which is located at IMG Academies, 5500 34th Street West
in Bradenton, Florida. Parking is available across the
street from the venue at Bayshore High School; a $5.00
fee applies.
14s, 16s, and 18s Qualies Conclude; Winners Advance
to Main Draws
Qualifying rounds in the boys and girls 14s, 16s, and
18s concluded on Sunday, with eight players advancing to
the main draws in their respective divisions. Opening
rounds of the main draw in the 14s, 16s, and 18s begin
Monday, November 29.
12s Singles Action Continues, Doubles Play Begins
Rain visited the Eddie Herr Saturday morning, which
delayed some G12s main draw matches and postponed the
opening round of B12s play. The boys took to the courts
Sunday morning.
Outdoor Player Lounge Is Big Hit at Eddie Herr
Players, coaches, and parents are enjoying lunch and
relaxing in new outdoor Player Lounge IMG provided for
the tournament. Set in an open grassy area, the
Lounge is a favorite gathering spot at the venue.
Seminar Offers Tips for Getting Recruited for College

On Saturday, November 27,
award-winning sportscaster and National Collegiate
Scouting Association recruiting expert, Charlie Adams
presented a free seminar at IMG Academies entitled ”5
Things You Need to Know and 5 Things You Need to Do.”
The presentation provided tips on what it takes for a
player to get recruited to play college tennis. The
seminar, which is open to players and their families,
will be held again on Tuesday, November 30.
