QUALIES CONCLUDE
IN 14s, 16s, 18s; MAIN DRAW BEGINS MONDAY
By the end of the day, eight players had earned the
right to advance to the main draw of the Eddie Herr in
the 14s, 16s, and 18s respectively.
Estelle Cascino (FRA), the 2008 Eddie Herr G12s
champion, was never challenged as she charged through
qualies to earn her spot in the main draw of G14s.
Varvara Flink (RUS), Alizee Michaud (FRA), Rianna Valdes
(USA), Catherine Shulman (CAN), Kristin Wiley (USA),
Nikki Kallenberg (USA), and Kim Kermet (USA) also
advanced.
In the B14s, Mackenzie Stearns (CAN), Callum
Poland-Smith (GBR), Daniel Kerznerman (USA), Karim Arem
(USA), Robert Shulman (CAN), Matthew Cravinhos (USA),
Daniel Shebshayevich (USA), and Sebastian Beltrame (USA)
got through the qualies to gain entry to the main draw.
Marta Stojanovic (SRB), Brittany Lashway (USA), Skylar
Morton (USA), Wan-Yi Sweeting (USA), Kate Vialle (USA),
Ashley Kitchen (USA), Georgina Sellyn (GBR), and
Kimberley Surin (CAN) all came out of qualies with
berths into the G16s main draw.
On the B16s side, Patrik Fabian (SVK), Luis Patino (MEX),
Cristobal Ramos Salazar (MEX), Diego Hidalgo (ECU), Alex
Pasareanu (CAN), Jae Hwan Kim (KOR), Alexander Polonsky
(RUS), and Dennis Novak (AUT) earned the opportunity to
compete in the main draw.
Daneika Borthwick [10] (GBR), Lou Brouleau (FRA), Adel
Arshavskaya (USA), Katerina Popova (RUS), Maria Belaya
(USA), Belinda Niu (USA), Mary Clayton [WC] (USA), and
Danielle Collins [WC] (USA) emerged from the G18s
qualies with spots in the main draw.
In B18s action, Ashley Hewitt (GBR), Vasile Alexandru
Ghilea (ROM), Alejo Apud (ARG), Frederick Saba [WC]
(USA), Mark Verryth [WC] (AUS), Alfredo Moreno [1] (MEX),
Maciej Smola [15] (POL), and David Sofaer (AUS) won
places in the main draw.
