Rain Dampens Play,
But Not Spirits at Eddie Herr
The second round of
play in B12s was completed on schedule this morning;
then the rains came and disrupted the rest of the
day’s schedule.
In qualifying action, Leolia JeanJean (FRA) and
Americans Stephanie Nauta, Adel Arshavskaya, and
Nicole Melichar registered victories to earn spots
in the G16 main draw. Matches to determine the four
remaining main draw berths were rained out.
Winners of the spots in the main draw of B16s
division, and boys and girls 14s and18s have yet to
be decided, due to the rain delay. Qualifying play
will be completed on Monday, weather permitting.
